Born in Vietnam, Tuan now calls Tampa, Florida his home. He first found his love for photography at the age of 9 with a Nikon FM camera, realized he wanted more, and has been perfecting his craft ever since.

Tuan always captures the beauty in everything he sees. His first passion is wildlife and nature. He is able to turn what some would think of as old, dead trees, or just another animal walking by into art. Looking for just the right light, camera in hand, Tuan always gets the perfect shot. He began with a manual Nikon F4 back in 1991 at the City College of San Francisco. Processing his own film, and never ending his quest for amazing photographs, he shot his way from San Francisco to Ft. Lauderdale where he did some commercial work with his talent.

Traveling is a favorite pastime, making everyday places into interesting locations. Tuan finds the grandeur with every click of the shutter no matter where the viewfinder is pointed, from mountains to rivers, forests to open fields, even crosswalks in a small town. Tuan is not a stranger to still life, he is able to give personality to inanimate objects whether sculptures or just a faucet.

Today, the camera has changed to a digital Canon EOS-5D Mark II, and the obsession has taken a turn to local bands. You can find Tuan at any and all venues taking aim at musicians, bringing their dreams to life through his photographs. The grungier the better, he shows the music in it's raw form playing off of the colored lights, awkward angles, movement and darkness.
